Animal Terracotta Sculptures

Kasongan village, south of Yogyakarta in Central Java, a special clay pottery for centuries as a center for traditional clay roof tiles and roof and complex ornament statuary guardian poplular throughout Central Java. Kasongan have been found by the export market, and many workshops have been the traditional center of production for garden decoration, but still some workshops specialize in whimsical animal sculptures on display at the village.
